Easter back in the Caribbean is fun times. We take it seriously religious or not. It’s party time and holiday fun on the beach or by the river. In Brooklyn it’s just Brooklyn time. I guess some observe it if they are Christians. My mom don’t bother anymore with it. I remind her that back home on the island people are already drinking it up and cooking the good smoked meats. Sometimes I miss that time but I know why I left. We all leave sometime. Can’t stay one place forever if you want to get to the next level whatever that level is. Easter will be always easter. You need to change to grow. Can’t let Easter stand in the way.
